Color Count

This sets the number of colors that the output file will contain. The maximum allowable is 256 (which is a lot). Setting this to 0 will perform no color reduction. For best results, use the smallest number of colors that produce a satisfying vector image. For monochrome images, use color count = 2.

Set this to the color of the background that should be ignored. Choose a color using the color picker or enter a hex color value. (eg. #FFFFFF)

Filter Iterations

This sets the number of times curves will be smoothed before fitting to a spline. Default is 4.

Despeckle Level

This sets the degree to which we blur regions with similar colors when searching for edges. Too little despeckling will cause your image to have wiggly vectors caused by discrete pixels; too much and your image may turn out looking blurred beyond recognition.

What is a KDC (Kodak DC120 RAW) file?

Kodak DC120 Digital Camera RAW (KDC) is an obsolete raw file format that stores images in 24-bit color. KDC was first produced by Kodak’s DC50 camera and then continued with the DC120 camera, which had a 1280 x 960 pixel charge-coupled device (CCD) sensor. At the time, KDC was an improvement on the raw images produced by earlier versions of Kodak’s DC Series of compact digital cameras, which were popular in the 1990s to 2000s.

How to open a KDC file?

When this file type was supported, Kodak included a compact disc (CD) with the camera that contained Kodak Picture Transfer software. Depending on your current operating system, this program might or might not work. Instead, try a more modern program that supports KDC files, such as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom (Lightroom), which works on Microsoft Windows and macOS.

What is an SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file?

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is a resolution-independent, open-standard file format. It is based on Extensible Markup Language (XML), uses vector graphics, and supports limited animation. The main benefit of using an SVG file is, as the name implies, its scalability. This file type can be resized without a loss in image quality. In addition, SVG is unique in that it is not an image format. Instead, it is an XML-based standard that provides information for creating two-dimensional vector images.

How to open an SVG file?

SVG files open readily in most web browsers, such as Firefox or Microsoft Edge. In addition, since SVG is an XML file, you can view the XML-associated text in any common text editor, such as Windows Notepad or Brackets for macOS.

It is possible to use Adobe programs for opening and editing SVG files. Just be sure to install the SVG Kit for Adobe Creative Suite plug-in first.
