Conversion minutes measure how long it takes to convert your files on our servers. Generally, photo and document conversions only take just one minute to convert. Large files or advanced codecs consume more conversion minutes. Your conversion minute usage is visible on your account dashboard. We only bill you for successful conversions.
Yes, you can sign up for a pro account just for one month. Simply cancel the subscription (from the account page) at any time so that it will not be renewed after the first month. |
You can top up credits by choosing the “Custom Plan” option. Choose the payment frequency “One-time Credit". Please note that unused credits expire 30 days after purchase.
Free users get 20 conversion minutes per day for both Web and API use. For most users, a conversion would only take a minute or less. This means up to 20 files per day can be converted for free. You do not need to create an account to get these benefits on our website. If you want to utilize these free minutes for API usage, you can sign-up for a free account here. Please note that there is a limit of 5 conversion minutes per file for free usage.
We use industry-leading payment providers Stripe and PayPal to process payments. Payment data is transferred through 128-bit secure HTTPS and is never saved on our servers.

Yes. if you are using the same credit card for the upgrade/downgrade, the prorated amount is automatically calculated and applied. However, if you are upgrading or downgrading using a new credit card or PayPal, please proceed with the upgrade first and then contact help@freeconvert.com to get the prorated discount (in the form of a partial refund).
No! We believe in transparent billing. There are no contracts, hidden fees, or setup charges. You will see exactly how many conversion minutes (credits) you use for each of your tasks. If any task fails for any reason, we automatically refund the conversion minutes used for it.
