Hur konverterar man XVID till OGG?

Xvid is a free, open-source, video codec library. It published under the GNU GPL license, which is simply a free license for software, and it implements the ISO MPEG-4 standard. It uses “lossy” compression but retains a high degree of quality. One of the good things about open-source software is that it is possible to view the code to check for malware. How to open an Xvid file?

As open-source software, Xvid opens on almost all of the most common platforms. DivX developed Xvid for PC, but it also opens without consequence on Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows. The latest version runs on Windows XP SP3 or later.

 

Examples of platforms that can play Xvid files include VLC media player and MPlayer. Currently, Xvid does not support subtitles or interactive menus, but it is compatible with free third-party tools that provide those things. One example is AutoGK.

Ogg Vorbis (OGG) is a file that uses Ogg Vorbis compression. OGG is a patent-free, royalty-free encoding scheme provided by the Xiph.Org Foundation. Like MP3, OGG files are renowned for their high quality. OGG files include metadata, as well as artist and track title information.

 

How to open an OGG file?

The default program to open an OGG file is VLC media player. Additionally, a great number of other programs can open OGG, such as Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, Winamp, Xine, UltraMixer, and others.

 

If in a pinch, you can simply open an OGG file in Google Drive, which is available on any computer or mobile device equipped with an internet browser. Be aware that Apple products do not support OGG.
